The North Carolina Courage have bolstered their roster with the addition of free agent Bianca St-Georges. A versatile veteran, St-Georges will be an important piece of the Courage attack while providing flexibility in lineups and formation adjustments. Get to know the newest member of Courage Country with our Quick Kicks series: O Canada St-Georges is a native of The St. Felix de Valois, Quebec and made her senior debut for the Canadian National Team in a 0-0 draw against the Czech Republic on June 11, 2021. Since then, St-Georges has racked up nine total caps, including five stars, earning a silver medal at the 2022 CONCACAF W Championship. She also represented Canada at two FIFA youth tournaments. She becomes the third member of the Courage with Canadian ties, joining National Team rising star Sydney Collins and fellow NWSL veteran Victoria Pickett. Country Roads St-Georges was a four-year starter for West Virginia University, making 81 appearances and logging 6,729 minutes, nine goals and 13 assists. St. Georges was named the Big 12 Defender of the Year in her senior season, scoring seven goals and helping the Mountaineers to a Big 12 Championship title then reaching the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Windy City Prior to signing on with the Courage, St-Georges had spent her entire professional career in Chicago with the Red Stars. She was drafted in the third round of the 2019 NWSL College Draft and has racked up six goals and three assists in 2,714 minutes of NWSL regular season experience. She had her best statistical season for the Red Stars in 2023, scoring four goals and providing one assist across 1,574 minutes. The midfielder won 45.66% of her duels, created 18 chances and completed 69.38% of her passes in 2023. She also scored one goal and provided one assist in 350 minutes of UKG Challenge Cup action last season.
