The North Carolina Courage (15W-1D-6L, 46 pts, 1st place) travels to Edinburg, Texas to face the Houston Dash (7W-2D-13L, 23 pts, 8th place) for the team’s final road test in the 2017 regular season. The game was originally scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 27 in Houston, but the match was postponed due to Hurricane Harvey.

The Courage is rounding out its two-game road trip which took the team from Sky Blue FC on Sunday before the Houston Dash on Wednesday. The team earned its first draw of the season with a final score of 1-1 in New Jersey. Ashley Hatch netted her sixth goal of the year off an assist from Kristen Hamilton in the first half, but Sky Blue was able to respond to the Courage’s early goal.

The Dash is coming off an unfortunate 3-2 loss to the Chicago Red Stars on Sunday, Sept. 24. Houston couldn’t overcome the 3-1 halftime deficit despite a late tally from Rachel Daly in the 85th minute.

In its last meeting against the Dash, the NC Courage snuck away with a 1-0 win at home after a goal from Kristen Hamilton put the home team up early on Saturday, Sept. 9.
