NC COURAGE PLAYERS NAMED TO USWNT TRAINING CAMP ROSTER AHEAD OF SHEBELIEVES CUP

Cary, NC (February 8, 2017)- Samantha Mewis and Lynn Williams have been named to the 25-player training camp roster prior to the 2017 SheBelieves Cup that features USA, Germany, France and England, US Soccer announced today.

The US Women’s National Team will start training in Orlando, Florida on Feb. 20 before their first match of the SheBelieves Cup on March 1 against Germany in Chester, Pa. The team will then travel to New Jersey where the US will face England on March 4. The final match will be played on March 7 in Washington D.C. against France. In addition to Mewis and Williams, 16-year-old CASL product and Durham native Brianna Pinto made the training camp roster. Pinto is one of the youngest call-ups of the modern era of the USWNT. USWNT Head Coach Jill Ellis will finalize the 23-player roster for the SheBelieves Cup near the end of camp. Tickets for all three doubleheaders are on sale through ussoccer.com.
