CARY, N.C. (June 4, 2024) —The NC Courage have today announced their roster for The Soccer Tournament (TST), which will take place June 5-10 at WakeMed Soccer Park. Comprising players around the world, the roster features 19 players, including former NC Courage players and other former NWSL players.
Led by former US Women’s National Team (USWNT) player and Courage star Jessica McDonald, the team showcases familiar faces like current NC Courage trialists Giovanna DeMarco, Victoria Haugen and Lauren Kellet, as well as former Courage players Sarah Clark, Sinclaire Miramontez and Samantha Martinez.
DeMarco played college soccer in North Carolina, representing the Wake Forest Demon Deacons for five seasons before being drafted by the San Diego Wave in 2023.
Miramontez will be joined on the roster by her sister, Sydney. The two sisters played side-by-side at the University of Nebraska, eventually playing separately in the NWSL and other professional leagues. Although no longer playing in the NWSL, Sydney Miramontez still works for it and is the commercial manager for the National Women’s Soccer Players Association (NWSLPA).
Former Canadian National Team player Maegan Rosa, who has played for multiple teams in the NWSL, further expands the experience on the roster.
Kellet will play in goal for the Courage and is TCU’s all-time leader in shutouts after her 23rd career shutout this past fall. The recent graduate has been training with the Courage as a trialist since preseason.
