CARY, N.C. (March 5, 2024) — The North Carolina Courage and midfielder Meredith Speck have agreed to terms on a one-year, guaranteed contract extension through the 2025 NWSL season, the team announced Tuesday.
Speck is a Courage original, moving with the team from Western New York when it relocated ahead of the 2017 season. Across seven years in a Courage jersey, Speck has played 2,901 minutes in the NWSL regular season, making 74 appearances and scoring four goals, while adding three assists.

Speck is entering her ninth NWSL season in 2024, having won three NWSL Championships, three NWSL Shield and two NWSL Challenge Cups with the Courage and Western New York.
Speck played 10 games for the Courage in 2023 before being placed on the Season-Ending Injury list with a torn ACL.
The Rockville Center, New York native played college soccer at Yale, making 56 appearances and scoring seven goals for the Bulldogs across four seasons.
The NC Courage will kick off the 2024 season at home against the Houston Dash on March 16. Tickets for the game are available now.
