The final international break of the 2024 NWSL season is here and a half dozen North Carolina Courage players are off to represent their countries before the regular season finale and playoffs kick back up in November.
Here is a full breakdown of who is playing who and when:
United States
Casey Murphy and Ashley Sanchez were both named to Emma Hayes’ first post-Olympics roster as USWNT head coach for a trio of friendlies against Iceland and Argentina. Murphy has been a consistent name on the USWNT roster for the last few years, but the October window is Sanchez’s first call up in about a year.

Ireland
Denise O’Sullivan and Ireland are set for a crucial two-leg UEFA EURO 2025 Qualifying Round 1 Playoff against Georgia. With a win across the two legs, Ireland would advance to Round 2 of the playoffs at the end of November. A win in that round would put Ireland into the Euros.
The first leg of the playoffs will be in Tbilisi, Georgia, while the second leg will be at Ireland’s Tallaght Stadium.

Brazil
Reigning NWSL MVP Kerolin Nicoli is back in action for Brazil during the upcoming window for a fair of matches against Colombia. Kerolin has hit the ground running since returning to the Courage post-Olympics, scoring in just her second game back.

Germany
Fresh off an impressive bronze-medal campaign at the Olympics, Feli Rauch and Germany are set for a pair of friendlies against England and Australia. The match against England will be a rematch of the 2022 UEFA European Women’s Championship Final in 2022, which England won, 2-1.

Japan
Manaka Matsukubo earned a call up to the senior national team following a strong showing during Japan’s silver-medal campaign at the U-20 World Cup in September. Manaka and Japan will play a friendly and a closed-door training match against South Korea during the window.
