North Carolina Courage forward Debinha has been called up for international duty with the Brazil women’s national team for a pair of September friendlies in Australia. Brazil will take on Australia on Saturday, Sept. 16 and Tuesday, Sept. 19. Debinha, a regular with the Brazilian women’s national team since 2011, has scored 21 goals in 51 appearances, including two goals in seven FIFA World Cup appearances. She was recently called up in April for a friendly against Bolivia, two friendlies in June against Spain and Iceland, and the Tournament of Nations in late July/early August. The Courage return home to host the Orlando Pride on Saturday, Sept. 30 at Sahlen’s Stadium at WakeMed Soccer Park with a 7:30 p.m. ET for the final NWSL regular season game. The NC Courage will then host a semi-final match in the 2017 NWSL playoffs on Sunday, Oct. 8. A time and opponent is to be determined.
