CARY, N.C. (Sept. 21, 2023) – The North Carolina Courage and majority owner and chairperson Steve Malik are pleased to welcome five new investors in the club, as recently approved by the National Women’s Soccer League. The expanded ownership roster is part of the recently announced successful completion of a substantial equity raise in the club. Jim and Sue Datin have also considerably increased their investment and will have a seat on the board of directors.
The new investors include a talented collection of achievers across a variety of industries. They are dedicated to supporting and growing the Courage and the National Women’s Soccer League and backing the organization’s efforts to continue to build a championship-caliber team on the field and support positive social change and community impact.

The five newest investors to join the Courage are Howard Keenan, Henry Phan and Jin Yang (Full Sail Ventures LLC), Jay Hartington (Hartington FC LLC), and Kady Pooler.

The Courage return to action on Sunday, October 1, when they visit OL Reign for NWSL regular season action. Kickoff is set for 8:00 p.m. ET (5 PT) at Lumen Field in Seattle, Washington. The match will stream live on Paramount+ in the United States and on www.nwslsoccer.com internationally.
