CARY, N.C. (July 14, 2023) – The North Carolina Courage have placed rookie midfielder Clara Robbins on the Season-Ending Injury list, retroactive to May 30, with a left Achilles tear. Robbins, who is under contract with the Courage through the 2025 season, will miss the remainder of the 2023 campaign.
The 24-year-old was drafted ninth overall in the 2023 NWSL Draft out of Florida State. The Stafford, Virginia native appeared in three matches, making one start, and logging 108 minutes between league and UKG Challenge Cup action in her first professional season. She made her professional debut in Orlando on April 19. Robbins is the second Courage player added to the Season-Ending Injury list in 2023. The active roster now has 23 active players, including four on National Team Replacement Contracts, two on the season-ending injury list, and six on international duty.
