NC Courage Announce Local Broadcast Schedule for 2022 NWSL Regular Season
CARY, NC (May 16, 2022) – The North Carolina Courage have announced six of their regular-season matches will air locally on Capitol Broadcasting Company’s Television Platforms. Five Courage games will air on WRAL Sports+, Capitol Broadcast Company’s newest 24-hour sports channel, and one game will air on FOX50. The slate of games includes three home matches and three away matches, providing local fans the opportunity to watch the Courage games live on television through their cable provider.
“Since the Courage’s inaugural season in 2017, Capitol Broadcasting Company has been a great partner of our club and we are happy to extend our local TV partnership with them,” Jorge Acuña, Vice President of Game Operations and Broadcasting shared. “Our goal going into this season was to be able to provide soccer fans in the Triangle the opportunity to watch Courage soccer for free, and with today’s announcement, we are happy to be able to do that as we go into our sixth season.” The first locally televised match will take place this Wednesday, May 18 as the Courage host the Orlando Pride at 7 p.m. ET. This match will air live on WRALSports+, with broadcast talent including long-time voice of the NC Courage, Dean Linke, joined by former Courage and U.S. Women’s National Team player, Heather O’Reilly. The Courage will remain at home to take on the San Diego Wave on Sunday. May 22 at 2 p.m. ET. That match will air locally on FOX50, with Dean Linke and Kelly Glendenning on the call. Both games will also stream live on Paramount+ and Twitch (Internationally). Tickets for both matches can be purchased here.
