Carson Pickett Named to NWSL Best XI of the Month for July
Portland, OR (August 4, 2022) — The National Women’s Soccer League announced today the 11 players named to the Best XI of the Month, presented by Mastercard, for the month of July by the NWSL Media Association. For the second month in a row, Courage defender Carson Pickett was selected for the honor.
D –Carson Pickett (NCC): Fresh off her first cap with the U.S. Women’s National Team, Pickett built off that momentumwhen she returned to the Courage, scoring her firstgoal of the regular season in a 2-2 tie against the Chicago Red Stars. The defender also continued her reliable distribution out of the defensive end with an 85 percent clip.
The Courage next see action on Friday, August 5, when they take on the Portland Thorns at Providence Park. Kickoff is at 10:30 p.m. ET and the match will be broadcast live on CBS Sports Network and Twitch (internationally).
